The Gran Canaria Me Gusta Fair celebrates its 13th edition in Agüimes with Canarian chefs, workshops, catas, tastings and direct sales

The Gran Canaria Fair I Like It returns this weekend with an edition focused on local gastronomy, the product of the land and the culinary talent of the islands. The event will celebrate its 13th edition of 8 al 10 of May in it Agüimes Fairgrounds, with a program that includes gastronomic exhibitions, workshops, catas, tastings, children's activities and a large shopping area.

Quote, promoted and financed by the Cabildo of Gran Canaria and organized by Infect, Gran Canaria Fair, seeks to consolidate itself as a meeting point for the primary sector, the agri-food industry and the gastronomy of the archipelago. One of the main changes this year will be the greater prominence of Canarian chefs compared to national and international chefs who have participated in previous editions.. The organization wants to highlight the talent of the islands in this way, generational change and a cuisine that looks directly at farmers, ranchers, fishermen, local winemakers and producers.

The gastronomic exhibitions will feature names like Alexander Herrera, from the Sábor restaurant; Nelson Pérez, from Nelson restaurant; Ruben Medina, from Zulay; Pedro Nel Restrepo, from Ethereum; Paco Budia, from Revés Bistro; Saylem Cuevas y Creusa Ramos, by LEMUSA; Borja Marrero, by Muxgo; Cristo Ramirez, of Iron; Carlos Gamonal, from Mesón El Drago; Carlos Padilla, by Dorothea; y Olga Torres, from Molinería Pérez Gil.

The fair will incorporate, besides, a more dynamic and informative format in its culinary demonstrations. The product of Gran Canaria will be the axis of the activities.
