Don't go, Eidan, Era del Cardón and Noelia Ascanio are among the big winners in the official wine competitions, cheese and honey from Gran Canaria
The official insular competitions of vino, cheese and honey from Gran Canaria they already have winners, with Agala, Eidan Selection, Era of Cardón and the honey made by Noelia Ascanio among the most notable names in the honors list.
In it XXX Official Gran Canaria Wine Competition 2026, Don't go / altitude 1175 won the gold medal in the young red category. The money went to The Caves and the bronze for Cabrera Manor 16 months of barrel.
Among the young or barrel-fermented dry whites, the gold corresponded to Eidan Selection, followed by Don't go / altitude 1318, with silver, y Cruz, with bronze.
Aidan Dulce, the best among sweet wines
In the semi-dry category, semidulces, sweet and liqueur, Aidan Dulce got the highest distinction.
The silver medal went to Sweet Owl, while Sweet Tirajanas got the bronze.
The award for Best Image and Presentation fell on Jack, made in Santa Brígida.
Cardón Era, best cured cheese
He XXXIII Official Competition of Cheeses of Gran Canaria distinguished as Best Cured Cheese from Gran Canaria 2026 to the cheese factory Cardón Era, by Luis Martel Perdomo, in Aguimes.
In the beekeeping section, recognition for the best honey in the world XX Gran Canaria Honey Competition 2025 corresponded to a hortelanilla flower honey made by Noelia Ascanio.
The list of winners once again brings together three of the products with the greatest weight in the agri-food identity of the island: vino, cheese and honey, with preparations from different municipalities and productive profiles.
