Become the most visited stand of the congress, as usually happens in each edition, Tenerife has dedicated its programming on the last day of San Sebastián Gastronomy to the island's tropical crops, unique for enjoying volcanic soils and being blessed by the trade winds. but also today Tenerife has had a stellar presence in the great Congress Auditorium, with the keynote presentation offered Juan Carlos y Jonathan Padron (Juan Carlos's Corner**, Adeje).

The vice president and advisor of Tourism of the Cabildo, Lope Afonso, points out that “Tenerife ends its participation with a great success of visitors and influx of public to our large stand-restaurant of 200 Square meters, above all recognition and respect towards our gastronomic proposal and towards our local product, which is already known with greater intensity in the field of gastronomy, recognizing our chefs, as well as the work of our farmers, ranchers and artisans who are achieving excellence in their products, raising our gastronomy and local products to a high level”. Güímar Valley, The Goatherd's Hut, Mesa Brothers, White Barrel; Ayosa red mists 2023, SAT Winegrowers of the Güímar region,Tinto, D.O. La Orotava Valley; Dry White Atlante 2021, Atlas – Quinta San Antonio, White Barrel; and Caramujo Tinto Volcano 2023, Caramujo Volcano, Red Barrel.

Products and recipes

From banana to ajoblanco avocado, from colored potato chips with hard cheese salt to a lunch with delicacies such as mango tartar, papaya textures with salpicón or tropical pineapple... were just some of the products and recipes offered at the island's stand on the last day of the gastronomic event, which in its three days of activity has seen more than 700 personas.

The Wine Tunnel, with some 40 references of the different denominations of origin of the island, was one of the points of attraction of the presence Tenerife in San Sebastian Gastronomy, with almost 5.000 tastings in just the first two days of the event.
