Canary Islands brought cheeses, potatoes and wines from the Islands at the closing dinner of the Spanish conference in Monaco, presided over by Albert II

Canarian gastronomy put the finishing touch to the Spanish Gastronomic and Cultural Days in Monaco, held in Monte Carlo on the occasion of 150 anniversary of diplomatic relations between Spain and the Principality. The Government of the Canary Islands, Through GMR Canary Islands, provided a selection of agri-food products from the Archipelago for the closing gala dinner, held in the Paris cafe and presided over by the prince Albert II of Monaco.

The Canarian pantry was represented by cheeses, potatoes and a selection of wines chosen by the restaurant itself: Yaiza Dry White 2024, from Vega de Yuco Winery, belonging to the DOP Lanzarote; Louis Goudard 2024, from Viña Frontera, from the PDO El Hierro; y Islands Landscape, from Bodegas Tajinaste, protected by the PDO Canary Islands.

The menu was created by Alberto González Margallo, restaurant executive chef San Sebastian 57, who designed a proposal in which Spanish cuisine dialogued with representative products of Canary Islands. The presence of the Archipelago at this event is part of the foreign promotion strategy for its agri-food productions., linked to the territory, to the landscape, to the primary sector and the identity of the Islands.
