Savor Lanzarote plans to hold workshops, have exhibition spaces and actions that highlight the product linked to the territory

/ He Lanzarote Town Council held a working meeting this Thursday with representatives of the island's gastronomic and wine sector to begin the coordination of the proposal that Taste Lanzarote will present in the next edition of Madrid Fusion, which will be celebrated from 26 al 28 January, in IFEMA Madrid.

The meeting, which took place in Commission Room II of the Cabildo, brought together Hostelan, Aqual, chefs, local producers and other agents involved in the participation of Lanzarote in this gastronomic congress of international reference. This is the first technical meeting with the entire sector that will be part of the island delegation.

The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, He pointed out that this type of meeting allows us to work in advance to build a solid and coherent presence in an international showcase such as Madrid Fusion. Betancort stressed that “Lanzarote comes with a proposal based on product, in knowledge and in the work that is carried out throughout the year on the island”.

For your part, the Minister of Economic Promotion and head of Saborea Lanzarote, Nori Machín, explained that this meeting marks the beginning of joint work to finalize the contents that will be carried out Madrid, from the workshops to the organization of the spaces. Machín highlighted that “the involvement of the sector is key for the proposal to be representative and respond to the gastronomic reality of Lanzarote”.

The meeting served to report on the global proposal of Taste Lanzarote and advance in the definition of the workshops, the exhibition spaces and the different actions planned during the congress, as well as to close content and coordinate the participation of different professionals and entities.
