Four Canarian cheeses, including three from Fuerteventura, awarded in the national championship of the Gourmets Hall 2025

Four Canarian cheeses have obtained one of the 60 medals awarded by the competition jury Gourmet Cheese 'Championship of the Best Cheeses of Spain 2025', held this week within the framework of the fair Gourmets Salon, In Madrid. In this sense, the director of the Canarian Institute of Agri-Food Quality (ICCA), Luis Arraez Guadalupe, stressed that “the high participation of Canarian products in this contest, through 58 samples submitted to the competition, as well as the various awards, medals and recognitions obtained in this and other national and international events, show that the Canary Islands are a world power in the production of cheeses of differentiated quality”.
