The Minister of Economic Promotion of La Palma, MIRIAM PERESTELO, affirms that this type of initiatives “benefits the commercial and primary sectors”
The Island Council of La Palma, through the public company Sodepal and with the collaboration of the San Andrés y Sauces City Council, maintains its commitment to the island's gastronomy with the celebration of the Sabores del Noreste Gastronomic Fair, for which the registration period has already opened for interested establishments, taking place on Saturday 22 November in the Plaza Nuestra Señora de Montserrat, in San Andrés y Sauces.
The Minister of Economic Promotion and CEO of Sodepal, MIRIAM PERESTELO, states that this type of initiative “benefits both the commercial sector and the primary sector of the island.”. Gastronomy is an economic sector in which we can compete, thanks to the high quality of the local product and the talent of our professionals”, adds the counselor.
For your part, the mayor of San Andrés y Sauces, Francisco Paz, He emphasizes that for the municipality “it is very important to host these events that represent a notable economic injection for the establishments in the area.”, allowing also to highlight the gastronomy and restaurateurs of the municipality”.
This gastronomic event seeks to promote local products and highlight black pig meat, an ingredient of great relevance in the Palma culinary identity. Through the creativity and talent of participating establishments, the fair will become a showcase of flavor, the tradition and innovation that characterize the island's cuisine.
During the event, Attendees will be able to taste a wide variety of tapas and gastronomic proposals made with local products., in a festive atmosphere that encourages interaction between restaurateurs, producers and public.
Establishments interested in participating can formalize their registration through the Sodepal electronic headquarters until the day 9 of November

Participation is free and the number of spaces available will be limited., prioritizing the participation of restaurant establishments in the northern area.
With this initiative, the Island Council of La Palma, through Sodepal and the Saborea La Palma project, reaffirms its commitment to promoting local products, support for the gastronomic and commercial sector and the economic revitalization of the municipalities in the north of the island.
Sabores del Noreste is presented as an essential event to enjoy Palma gastronomy and strengthen the connection between territory, tradition and economic development.
