The Minister of Economic Promotion of La Palma highlights the commitment to “support producers and project the quality and uniqueness of the Palma product”
He La Palma Town Council, through the public company Sodepal, participate in the Agricultural Fair, Livestock and Fishing of Fuerteventura (UGLY) 2026, with a proposal aimed at supporting the Island's producers and reinforcing the promotion of local products, gastronomy and palm identity as drivers of economic and cultural development. The event has been taking place since yesterday, Thursday., 16 of April, until sunday 19, at the Pozo Negro fairgrounds.
The presence of La Palma in EAGF It is structured around an exhibition space conceived as a showcase for talent, the quality and authenticity of the territory. It integrates a careful representation of Palma gastronomy., local crafts and the landscape and heritage values of the Island, offering the public a broad vision of its productive wealth, cultural and tourist.
The Minister of Economic Promotion of the Cabildo of La Palma and CEO of Sodepal, MIRIAM PERESTELO, emphasizes that this participation responds to the commitment of the island government group to the palm productive fabric. “From the Cabildo of La Palma we work to accompany our producers, providing them with spaces for promotion and visibility in reference fairs such as FEAGA, where the Island can show the quality, the uniqueness and differential value of its products”, points out.
Perestelo adds that this action also contributes to strengthening the external projection of La Palma and generating new opportunities for its strategic sectors.. “The promotion of local products, Support for the primary sector and the enhancement of our identity are part of an island development strategy that favors commercial contact, the opening of new markets and the recognition of the work carried out by our professionals”, states.
Gastronomy occupies a central place in the Palma proposal, with the participation of representative brands of the territory such as Mergus wines, honey henry and vity, and the Sicilian mojos, exponents of the diversity and authenticity of the Island's flavors. The traditional pastries of Mi Dulce Pastel are also added to this offer., that brings to the FEAG public a sample of the dulce palmaro recipe book.
Along with the food offer, The Palm It also reinforces its presence with a space dedicated to the tobacco sector, with the participation of Puros Vegas de Breña Alta, as well as a tourism promotion area aimed at disseminating natural values, landscape and leisure of the destination.
With this participation, the Cabildo of La Palma, through Sodepal, consolidates its commitment to accompany the island productive sector in strategic promotional spaces, favoring the creation of commercial and cultural synergies with Fuerteventura and the entire archipelago.
