La Isla Bonita participates with record representation in the largest showcase of gourmet products in Europe under the Saborea La Palma seal

La Palma has deployed all its gastronomic potential in the 38th edition of the Gourmets Show, celebrated from 7 al 10 April in Madrid, consolidating itself as a reference destination for tourism linked to haute cuisine. Under the Saborea La Palma seal, A total of seven local brands have represented Isla Bonita at this international event., considered the most important showcase of quality food and drinks in Europe.

The Cabildo of La Palma, through the public company Sodepal and its Saborea La Palma project, has promoted this outstanding participation, with the aim of making visible and positioning the excellence of La Palma products in an increasingly demanding and specialized market..

The island president, Sergio Rodriguez, and the Minister of Economic Promotion and CEO of Sodepal, MIRIAM PERESTELO, attended this important professional fair, where they reaffirmed the Cabildo's commitment to continue positioning La Palma as a top-level gastronomic destination. “This work is not carried out only from Saborea La Palma, but also in close collaboration with the Tourism Departments, Agriculture, Livestock and Fishing, because behind each product we present there is intense and committed work from the primary sector of the Island, whose effort guarantees a raw material of extraordinary quality”, Rodríguez pointed out.

Counselor Perestelo added that “the combination between this excellent raw material, the talent of those who transform it and the promotion strategy that we develop from the institutions, It is key to continue diversifying the tourism that the island attracts, betting on a unique gastronomic offer with its own identity”.

In this edition, La Palma has achieved its participation record, with the presence of the Ron Aldea brands, My Sweet Cake, Mergus Wines, Vega North, Caterpillar La Palma, as well as the renowned mojos Regina and Sicilia.
