The Government of the Canary Islands grants 58 awards to productions from the archipelago in the Official Agrocanarias Contest

Mists of Ayosa Malvasía Aromática, prepared by the SAT Viticultores of the Güímar Region, under the Protected Designation of Origin (DOP) Güímar Valley (Tenerife), in the sweet malvasias category, has been chosen as the Best Wine of the Canary Islands 2024 for the second consecutive year, within the framework of Official Agrocanarias Competition organized by the Canarian Institute of Agri-Food Quality (ICCA), Autonomous Agency assigned to the Ministry of Agriculture, Cattle raising, Fisheries and Food Sovereignty of the Government of the Canary Islands.

The Area Counselor, Narvay Quintero, and the director of the ICCA, Luis Arraez Guadalupe, announced the jury's decision, held in Lanzarote 17 al 19 of April, And in which they participated in this edition 230 productions. A total of 58 awards, which include 13 Great Gold Medals, 26 Golds, y 15 Broad, in addition to the special distinctions of Best Organic Wine of the Canary Islands, Better wine chosen by winemakers and winemakers, and better image and presentation.

These are productions of the eleven DOPs of the archipelago from all the islands., 161 from Tenerife, twenty-three of La Palma, sixteen of Lanzarote, ten from Gran Canaria, eight from El Hierro, seven from La Gomera and five from Fuerteventura.

The distinction of Better ecological wine from the Canary Islands fell on Pagos de Reverón dry white barrel, by Eugenio Reverón Sierra S.L. (DOP Abona), production that also obtained a Gold Medal; and that of Best Wine by choice of winemakers it was for The Fence (in the category of dry and/or barrel-fermented white wines), prepared by Productos Importadas de Alimentación S.A (DOP Canary Islands), who also won a Gold. This recognition is granted by a panel made up of twelve professionals who represent each DOP and the Canary Islands Winemakers Association..

The distinction of Best Image and Presentation 2024 was granted to Conatvs, by Pedro Antonio Martín Hernández (DOP Canary Islands).

(DOP Abona), y Cho Marcial Pico, from SAT Viticultores of the Güímar Region (Güímar Valley DOP), en semidulces; Sweet Volcano, from Bodega Vulcano de Lanzarote S.L. (PDO Lanzarote), y Great Salmor, of the Campo Frontera Cooperative Society (DOP El Hierro), in sweets; Abona Summits, of the Cumbres de Abona Cooperative Society (DOP Abona), in dry rosés, y Ocampo Dams Great Alysius, of Viticultura San Juan S.L. (Dop Tacoronte-Icentejo), in breeding.

(DOP Abona), Organic white tagalguen y Tagalguen, by Juan Jesús Pérez Adrián (Dop the palm tree), Landscape of the Islands, from Bodegas Tajinaste S.L. (DOP Canary Islands), List Blanco, from Tabares 4 S.L. (DOP Canary Islands), Reverón Maví Payments y Reverón Blanco Payments, by Eugenio Reverón Sierra S.L. (DOP Abona), y Testament Malvasia Aromatic Dry, prepared by the Cumbres de Abona Cooperative Society (DOP Abona), all of them in the category of young white wines and barrel-fermented white wines.
