Pedro Rodríguez God and the coffee of La Palma, two of the great attractions of the gastronomic days around the precious Canarian product
San Agustín Square, in Los Realejos, will serve as the stage this Saturday 27 July for the celebration of the IX Gastronomic Exhibition of the Papa Bonita y Great Festival of Wines and Potatoes, with showcooking activities by local chefs and coffee samples from The Palm from the 16:00 hours and from 19:00 hours with proposals from restaurants and wineries in the municipality accompanied by good music until early morning.
The program starts with the pastry chef Pedro Rodríguez God (of Pedro Rodríguez Desserts); the chef of the Las Chozas Restaurant, Laura Bettina Allgayer; the restaurant chef The Gastronomic Space Factory, Zebenzui Acosta; and the pastry chef Boutique del Pan Relieve, Alfredo Marrero, who will offer the ‘Los Realejos gastronomic workshop with the 5 senses’, with prominence for the pretty potato, products of the Gastronomic Seal of Los Realejos y La Palma Coffee. There will be limited places and prior registration is required..
The next activity, which will begin the 17:30 hours, it will be 'Coffee with the aroma of the Canary Islands', led by the coffee farmer, coffee specialist and owner of Don Manuel's Coffee on the island of The Palm, Rayco Paz Rodríguez, where free tastings will be offered.
At 18:30 hours the initiative will begin ‘Gastronomic Seal of Los Realejos to 10 manos’. There will be a showcooking with free tastings of the following proposals:
- Nice pretty cannelloni, by the chef of Las Chozas Restaurant, Laura Bettina Allgayer.
- Tiramisu of pretty potato paper and La Palma coffee with goat mascarpone, by the chef of La Factoría Restaurant Gastronomic Space, Zebenzui Acosta.
- cold cheese soup, by the pastry chef of Pedro Rodríguez Desserts, PEdro Rodríguez Dios.
- Pretty potato brownie with banana, by the pastry chef of Boutique del Pan Relieve, Alfredo Marrero.
- Royal wine pairing, by the winner of the first prize of the IV Island Championship of Tenerife Wine Tasters and founder of BE Canary, Ana Belén López González.
Wine and potatoes party
Since the 19:00 hours until 02:00 hours will be extended 'Great Festival of Wines and Potatoes of Los Realejos', that will have the best cuisine with papa bonito and the exquisite wines of the area, by local restaurants and wineries.
Six restaurant establishments will participate in the initiative, offering different proposals ranging from 2,50 € up to 5 €. They will be present El Trebol Restaurant, Andarife Gastrobar, Catering El Encuentro, The Spinning Top, Las Chozas Restaurant y The Snack.
There will also be six wineries offering wines at prices between 1,50 € and €4 per drink. The wine proposals will come from the hand of The Hague Winery, Bosol Winery, Loher Winery, Valleoro Winery, La Suertita Winery y La Baldesa Winery.
