The Donaire restaurant, recently awarded its first Michelin star, has been recognized again, this time for their creativity and team spirit, by winning the award for the best group photograph in the national contest #MYMICHELINPLAQUEES, organized by the Michelin Guide in collaboration with Makro.
As part of the recognition, The restaurant has received the Michelin gold plate, a special distinction that only two restaurants in all of Spain have obtained: one for the most creative image and another —Donaire— for the best team photo. In the photograph, Donaire's team transforms into a symphony orchestra, with chef Jesús Camacho at the helm as director, baton in hand next to the Michelin plate, while the rest of the team performs their culinary score with frying pans, pan, tweezers, wine glasses and bottles. A scene full of humor, elegance and complicity that conquered the organizers of the contest.
“Receiving a Michelin star was a dream come true.”. In addition, the guide now recognizes our most human and creative side as a team., “It fills us with pride and emotion.”, says chef Jesús Camacho. “This photo is a way of thanking, to laugh together and celebrate, in Donaire, we cook with soul, but also with a lot of heart”.
This new achievement adds to an unforgettable year for Donaire, where creativity, commitment and teamwork have resulted in not only a star, but also a recognition of the unique identity that Donaire brings to gastronomy in the Canary Islands..
