Four Great Golds y 11 Golds endorse the quality of the Canarian wines presented at the 91st edition of the National Small D.O. Wine Competition, which was held last Friday 27 June at the National Parador of the Corias Monastery in the town of Cangas del Narcea, capital of the only Small Asturian wine DO such as Cangas.

As absolute winner of the Contest, has highlighted a wine, he Vina Frontera Tinto Dulce, a wine from the Small DO El Hierro that has obtained 96 points with two varieties typical of the island such as Verijadiego and Baboso Negro, which the juries highlighted for their complexity and elegance.. For its part, the wine White Papine stood out in the Young White category, also obtaining a Grand Gold, This wine is made on the island of Fuerteventura and only 1000 bottles. The third Canarian wine to obtain Great Gold has been Barrica white sea, a wine from the Small DO Tacoronte Acentejo on the island of Tenerife, made with local varieties such as Listán Blanco, the Gual, the Albillo or the Forastera Gomera, Finally, the fourth Canarian wine awarded has been Vina Frontera Baboso Tinto, also from the Campo Frontera Cooperative, which in this case participated in the Young Reds category.
