Madrid Fusión will host the I Championship for the Best Flan in the World

He I Championship for the Best Flan in the World will be held within the framework of Madrid Fusion Pastry and will have the official sponsorship of Round Eggs

Simplicity turned into art. A universal dessert that, in expert hands, reveals technique, sensitivity and absolute mastery of balance. With this spirit is born the I Championship for the Best Flan in the World, a new gastronomic challenge that will be held within the framework of Madrid Fusion Pastry and that will have the official sponsorship of Round Eggs, national benchmark in quality egg production.

This championship is open to professional chefs, Passers, pastry chefs, amateurs and members of the hospitality sector who wish to demonstrate their talent by making one of the most emblematic desserts of our culinary tradition.

The winner will be announced live during the Madrid gastronomic summit, he MArts 27 January 2026.

Until the 15 December 2025, All interested parties may submit their candidacy with a single flan recipe, that should stand out for its technique and creativity. As an essential requirement, the flan must be prepared exclusively with natural ingredients, without chemical additives of any kind, and using as a base Round Eggs, highlighting the main product of the contest.

Recipes must be sent accompanied by:

  • Complete technical sheet: Detailed ingredients and manufacturing process.
  • High resolution photography (minimum 300 ppp, .jpg format) of the finished flan.
  • Participant identification data: name and surname, email, telephone and work center (and apply).

All this documentation must be sent by email to paula@grupgsr.com (to Paula's attention).

A technical committee appointed by Madrid Fusion Foods from Spain will select the six best recipes received to compete in the final of the contest.

He jury will be composed of renowned journalists, chefs, pastry chefs and experts in the food sector, who will evaluate flavor, texture, technique and presentation. The contest will proclaim a only winner, who will receive the title of Best Flan in the World 2026.

The championship, sponsored by Round Eggs, highlights an essential product in Spanish cuisine and vindicates the importance of flan as a symbol of simplicity, culinary technique and emotion.
