More than 20 professionals refine their senses and update themselves in the tasting of agri-food products from the Canary Islands with the ICCA and the University of La Laguna
The Chair of Agrotourism and Wine Tourism of the Canary Islands of the Canary Institute of Agri-Food Quality and the University of La Laguna has held the first update seminar for salt tasters, cider, oil and gofio from the Canary Islands, with the participation of more than 20 professionals from all over the archipelago
For two intense days, attendees have participated in four eminently practical training sessions, in which the fundamental aspects that define the organoleptic characteristics of these productions have been addressed.. As a prelude, the director of the Chair, Jesús Enrique de las Heras Roger, He gave a theoretical session in which he highlighted the importance of updating sensory analysis.
Together with the director of the Chair, teachers and professionals Enrique Bermúdez Bethencourt have participated, Zebina Hernandez Hernandez, Luis Ravina Pisaca and Tanaira Rodriguez Diaz. Each one of them has valued the selected productions, sharing criteria with attending professionals and enriching technical knowledge about these foods.
The director of the Canarian Institute of Agri-Food Quality, Luis Arraez Guadalupe, has highlighted that meetings like this facilitate a direct connection with the professionals who participate in the Agrocanarias Contests.. “These experts know first-hand the peculiarities of our products and, through your knowledge, contribute to its enhancement.
