The contest will bring together six contestants, that they must prepare six identical tacos each. In all proposals, he Canary Islands PGI Avocado should be the main ingredient, while the rest of the elements may be freely chosen as long as the essence of the Mexican taco is respected..
A jury made up of professionals from the sector will evaluate different aspects of each preparation, between them flavor and balance, prominence of avocado, creativity, presentation, technique, speed and execution. The winner of the contest will get a prize of 1.500 euros, while the second classified will receive 1.000 euros, both accompanied by an accrediting diploma. Volcanic gastronomy to discover the flavor of the Canary Islands
The programming will continue the next day with the initiative “Volcanic Gastronomy: Discover the flavor of the Canary Islands”, organized under the brand Volcanic Experience.
