Codeso, in Los Gigantes, is incorporated as a Michelin recommended with a contemporary cuisine directed by Ronny Reina
The restaurant Codeso, in The Giants, In June it was added to the selection of restaurants recommended by the Michelin Guide Spain 2026. The distinction represents a relevant recognition for a recent project that has managed to place itself on the radar of inspectors from the southwest of Tenerife..
Located in the Jacaranda Passage, 2, in the municipality of Santiago del Teide, Codeso is part of the new monthly update of the guide, that incorporates restaurants noted for their cuisine, regularity and personality. It is not a Michelin star, but rather a recommendation within the official selection, a step that confirms the growing attention towards the restaurant's proposal.
In front of the kitchen is Ronny Reina, Colombian chef, trained in Italy and with experience alongside Nandu Jubany. Your kitchen moves in a contemporary register, with careful product, precise technique and a clear desire to build a gastronomic experience with its own identity.
The Michelin Guide highlights that Codeso's menu is based on two tasting menus: Broom (65€) y Tajinaste (85€), two names that connect with the vegetal landscape of Tenerife and that summarize the restaurant's intention to dialogue with the environment without giving up a current look.
The proposal combines technical dishes with nods to local products and the Canary Islands.. In his kitchen there are preparations where the sea coexists, the masses, the funds, the pickles, the rice, the sauces and a worked staging, but without losing the main focus: the flavor.
Codeso It also occupies a symbolic place for the gastronomy of The Giants, an area marked for years by the presence of great culinary references. His incorporation into Michelin reinforces the idea that the southwest of Tenerife continues to be a territory with the capacity to generate restaurants of gastronomic interest.
The project also has a well-kept room and an extensive wine list., with the presence of Canarian references, national and international. In this section, the work of Jeaneth Pérez, room manager and sommelier, important piece in the restaurant experience.
The Michelin recommendation comes at a time when Tenerife continues to gain weight on the Spanish gastronomic map. A new generation of restaurants is now joining the already consolidated houses with stars that are looking for their own space with more personal proposals., technical and connected to the territory.
Con Codeso, Los Gigantes incorporates a new gastronomic argument to its natural attraction. To the cliffs, the sea and the landscape are now joined by a table that Michelin has decided to highlight in its selection. A recognition that does not close any path, but it does confirm that the restaurant has begun to move steadily forward.
