Two super golds, three gold, 19 silver and 25 bronzes complete the medal table for the islands' cheeses at the World Cheese Awards

Canarian cheeses have obtained a total of 49 awards the World Cheese Awards, the most prestigious international competition in the sector, in which the productions of the Archipelago have won two super golds, three gold, 19 silver and 25 bronzes. In this 36th edition of the competition, which was celebrated from 14 al 17 November in the Portuguese city of Viseu, A total of 4.786 cheeses 47 countries.

Regarding the distribution of awards by islands, Gran Canaria turned out to be the most awarded with a total of 17 medals, followed with 11 by Lanzarote y Tenerife con 13 metals. Next, five medals went to the cheeses Fuerteventura, two for those of The Palm and a medal for a production of The iron.
