The gastronomy of the Archipelago once again recognized its main references in the 14th edition of the Qué Bueno Canary Islands Regional Restoration Awards, held this Monday at the Jameos del Agua Auditorium, in Lanzarote. The gala brought together institutional representatives, chefs, restaurateurs and professionals of the sector in an event consolidated as one of the main showcases of the islands' cuisine.
Among the most notable awards of the night, the award to Best Restaurant in the Canary Islands 2025 fell on Casa Romantica, in Gran Canaria, while Victor Planas, del restaurante Kensei, was recognized as Best Chef in the Canary Islands.
The jury also distinguished the restaurant Ico Palace, located in the town of Teguise (Lanzarote), with the award to Best Modern Kitchen of Canarian Reflection, while The House of Parmesan, in Puerto del Carmen, won the award for Best Foreign Cuisine 2025.
Other recognitions of the night went to Be strong, as Best Spanish Cuisine; The Churrasco Las Palmas, for your room service; Ethereal by Peter Nel, as best steakhouse; La Bodega – Hotel Seaside Palm Beach, as best hotel restaurant; The Bodeguita in Front, in the tavern or gastrobar category; y Amalur, as the best restoration project in the Canary Islands.
During the gala, the growth experienced by the gastronomic sector in the Archipelago was highlighted., increasingly linked to local products, territorial identity and the tourist experience. In this context, different institutional representatives highlighted the role of collaboration between administrations, chefs and producers to consolidate gastronomy as one of the great values of the Canary Islands destination.
The event was organized by the Qué Bueno Canarias Guide with the sponsorship of the Cabildo of Lanzarote through the Art Centers, Culture and Tourism, and with the support of Saborea Lanzarote, the Government of the Canary Islands and numerous private companies.
