Los Canary Islands Tourism Awards, They are awarded every year by Government of the Canary Islands to recognize entities, companies and professionals that have played a prominent role in the tourism field.
In this edition, the professional jury, chaired by the Minister of Tourism and Employment, Jessica de Leon, has recognized among the more than fifty candidates presented, a Bodega el Tis with the award for Tourist Excellence.
The jury distinguishes “the work and trajectory of Bodegas el Grifo for its work 250 years in the field of viticulture in Lanzarote and the Canary Islands”.
In the information note made public by the Government of the Canary Islands, It is mentioned that the winery is “pioneer in wine bottling since 1935, from the years 80 introduce stainless steel tanks”.
Currently, Bodega El Grifo unites tradition, organic farming and innovation to protect its fragile and valuable environment. “Besides, are capable of recovering CO2, generate the 60% of their energy with solar panels and practice regenerative viticulture”.
In addition to Bodega El Grifo, lThe State Security Forces and Corps receive the award for Tourist Career; GF Hotels, the Tourism Award for Sustainable Employment; the Circular Tourist Communities project , the Tourism Innovation Award, whose results have also recognized the Adeje City Council, in Tenerife, for the efficient use of resources; and the Taimar Hotel with the Accessibility and Inclusivity Award.
The awards will be delivered next 25 September in an official event to be held at the Teatro Circo de Marte, in La Palma.
