Island government and primary and food and wine sectors come together to relaunch the Saborea Lanzarote brand
The president of the Council, Oswaldo Betancort gathered this Wednesday at the Monumento al Campesino a large representation of the primary and gastronomic sector of the island of Lanzarote and La Graciosa with the aim of once again promoting the Saborea Lanzarote brand as an axis for the development of the cooperation strategy and policies that improve the economic competitiveness of the Island.
“Taste Lanzarote is a benchmark, model and example of good gastronomic know-how, inside and outside the island, Betancort stated, thanking the attendees for their response and active participation in this first meeting between public institutions and economic agents that make up Saborea Lanzarote, and recognizing the effort they have made over the last few years, managing to revalue the local product linked to our landscape, to the territory, to culture or historical heritage.
Accompanied by the CEO of the Art Centers, Culture and Tourism, Angel Vazquez; of the general director of the Canarian Institute of Agri-Food Quality (ICCA), Luis Arraez, and Juan Betancort, as technician of the Economic Promotion Area of the Island Council, The president celebrated “the good health and potential of a model with a lot of projection”, showing its commitment to “address the demands of professionals and plan a new Saborea in Teguise and a 2024 of authentic economic takeoff, because the objective is that all this circular economy that Saborea Lanzarote generates reverts to the Lanzarote population., in families, self-employed and SMEs, through the generation of wealth and employment”.
