The Canarian preparations received 85 medals and six special distinctions at the Mondial de Vins Extremes held in the Aosta Valley region (Italia)

The wine production of the Canary Islands harvested a total of 91 awards (85 medals and six special distinctions) in the 33rd edition of the “Mondial des Vins Extrêmes 2025”, organized by the Research Center, Studies, Protection, Coordination and Valorization of Mountain Viticulture (DEER), held in the Italian region of Valle d'Aosta on the days 20 y 21 September to recognize the most outstanding wines and wineries of heroic viticulture, that is to say, from mountainous regions, steep terrain or small islands.

In addition to hoarding 85 medals -39 big gold medals and 46 gold medals- of a total of 298 awarded by a jury composed of 50 experts, the archipelago's productions obtained six special distinctions, among them the 'Mondial Vins Extremes 2025 Award', which fell to the Canary Islands as it was the wine region with the highest number of participating productions.

Of a total 1.001 participating productions of 372 wineries from 17 countries, The Canarian wines also won distinctions such as the 'Gran Premio Cervim' for the best wine in the competition and the 'Premio Vinofed' for the best-rated dry wine., that fell into the Brumas de Ayosa Blanco Seco 2024 (Güímar Valley DOP) of the SAT Winegrowers Region of Guímar-Arafo (Tenerife), also recognized with a large gold medal.

Additionally, This winery also obtained the 'Cervim Excellence Award' and a great gold medal for the Brumas de Ayosa Tinto Joven 2024 (Güímar Valley DOP), elaboration that was already recognized as the best wine in the last edition of the Agrocanarias Contest.
