Bodegas Vega de Yuco presents a premium distillate from Lanzarote with only 300 numbered bottles, inspired by 18th century wine tradition
Vega de Yuco Wineries expands its wine universe with the launch of SingleCaskAlthos®, a premium distillate made in Lanzarote that looks to the past to build a contemporary proposal, exclusively and deeply linked to the territory. The Lanzarote winery presents a first limited edition of 300 numbered bottles, coming from a single collection barrel and without the possibility of replacement.
The new product is born as a unique piece within the gourmet segment, designed for specialized consumers, collectors, vinotecas, Delicatessen, high-end catering and corporate gifts. Its marketing will be limited exclusively to the Canary archipelago., a decision that reinforces its local character and its vocation as an exclusive product.
SingleCaskAlthos® It is made from wine production and recovers the historical memory of the distillates in Lanzarote, an activity that had special relevance from the 18th century onwards, after the eruptions of We die in between 1730 y 1736. In that context, The island developed an important culture linked to wine, spirits and maritime trade, especially around Reef, where the name of the La Destila neighborhood, directly related to that tradition.
The proposal of Yuco Valley It also connects with the agricultural landscape of La Geria, with the adaptation of the vine to the volcanic territory and with the historical need to transform and conserve the island's production. From that reading of the origin, The winery presents this release as more than just a distillate: a piece of liquid identity, marked by the landscape, the history and wine-growing uniqueness of Lanzarote.
In tasting, the winery highlights its elegance, aromatic complexity and depth in the mouth, with noble wood notes, spices and toasted nuances from its aging in French oak. Memories of vanilla also appear, light caramel, dried fruits and delicate balsamic tones, that reinforce its profile as an after-dinner drink, collection and slow consumption.
The distillate is presented in the format of 500 milliliters and in a type case telescopic canister, with a modern and sustainable design. The graphic image comes from an international competition organized by the winery itself, to which nearly a hundred proposals from different European and American countries were presented.
The label takes as reference Althos, figure linked to the allegory of the supreme god of Canarian aboriginal origin in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, known in other islands as Acorán or Achamán. With it, Yuco Valley reinforces the symbolic story of a product that seeks to unite territory, memory, gastronomic design and culture.
The packaging has been produced with sustainable materials and 100% recyclable, in line with the winery's commitment to a careful and responsible presentation. With this release, Yuco Valley places a different reference within the premium universe in the Canary Islands market: a volcanic distillate, limited and designed to count Lanzarote from another glass.
