La Palma participates in GastroCanarias 2026 with tastings, live cooking and four companies that show the strength of their local product
La Palma once again places its local product at the center of the Canarian gastronomic showcase. The Palmero Cabildo, through the public company Sodepal and the brand Savor La Palma, participate in Gastrocanarias 2026, which is celebrated from 19 al 21 May at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Fairgrounds.
The presence of the island in this new edition of the show seeks to reinforce the promotion of the palm tree pantry, the island's culinary talent and the work of companies linked to the agri-food sector. A strategy that combines identity, territory and marketing, with the aim of consolidating the La Palma brand inside and outside the Archipelago.
During the three days of the fair, The Saborea La Palma space will host tastings and culinary demonstrations led by professionals from Palma. The proposal will show the versatility of the island's products and their ability to dialogue with both traditional cuisine and more current preparations..
The Minister of Economic Promotion of the Cabildo and CEO of Sodepal, MIRIAM PERESTELO, has highlighted that GastroCanarias is “a first-class showcase” to give visibility to quality, authenticity and uniqueness of the products made in La Palma. He has also highlighted the importance of this type of appointment to generate promotion and marketing opportunities among producers., distributors, restaurateurs and specialized media.
In this edition, La Palma will be represented by Aldea Distilleries, My Sweet Paste, Vidaviva Ecofood and Bruco La Palma, four firms that reflect the diversity of the island's productive fabric. Tradition, innovation and local products are combined in a participation that wants to highlight the agri-food wealth of the island.
The motto of GastroCanarias 2026, “From the Root”, connects especially with the philosophy of Saborea La Palma: defend the origin, the authenticity and identity of the products as an essential part of a sustainable gastronomic model, linked to the territory and capable of generating value for the primary and business sector.
With this participation, The Cabildo of La Palma reinforces its commitment to gastronomy as a tool for economic promotion, tourist and cultural, placing the local product as one of the island's great arguments in the Canarian gastronomic market.
