They aim, from the history of wine of the Canary Islands, know your financial situation, social, political and cultural
The Chair of Agrotourism and Wine Tourism of the Canary Islands of the Canary Institute of Agri-Food Quality and of the University of La Laguna along with the Canary Islands Protected Designation of Origin – Canary Wine They will organize the next day 16 May 2024, las III Canary Wine Historical Journeys, in online format, with the aim of deepening the knowledge of the economic situation, social, politics and culture of wine in the Canary Islands, approaching the history of Canary Islands wines, especially and the general world.
Also, during these days, The different historical milestones of the Canary Wine, thus contributing to improve, defend and preserve the wine history of the Canary archipelago, placing special emphasis on ethnography and studies related to popular culture linked to the process of construction of the current wine landscape.
These Historical Conferences will allow us to delve deeper into a chronological period of our not-too-distant wine-growing past., At the same time, this knowledge will be expanded to researchers and students from multiple disciplines related and linked to the sector., what, although grouped around a theme as defined as wine, want to get closer to knowing the current situation of the History of Wine in the Canary Islands.
These training sessions are a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the wine history of the Canary archipelago., understand its impact on the local culture and economy and appreciate the contribution of those who have shaped its legacy, thus allowing the diffusion of the improvement, defense and conservation of this intangible heritage, through tools as powerful as education and dissemination.

17:10 hours Inaugural Conference: "Technology, tradition, continuity and change: the winepress in viticulture from the Classical World to the Middle Ages”.
