The XXII Regional Contest arrives “Wine letters from the Canary Islands”

The purpose of the contest is to improve and join forces in the presentation and content of the wine lists of Canarian restaurants.

The Management Body of the Canary Islands Protected Designation of Origin – Canary Wine, in collaboration with the designation of origin and Coden Daute Isora, launches the XXII Edition of the Regional Wine List Competition for Hospitality, Restoration and specialized stores with the aim of improving and joining forces in the presentation and content of the wine lists of Canarian restaurants, so that both clients and consumers can feel more informed and knowledgeable about the wines of our archipelago..

All companies and individuals dedicated to the Hospitality industry may participate., Restoration and Stores Specialized in Wines of the Canary Islands, that have on their menu a minimum of eight brands of wines covered under the Canary Islands Protected Designation of Origin – Canary Wine, submission deadline ending next Sunday 6 of July.

Participation will be carried out by telematic means by sending the establishment's digitalized letter, either in PDF or JPG format, to the email address actividades@canarywine.com indicating in the subject “Regional Wine List Competition” and where the contact information of the competing establishment must appear.

The jury, will also value the presentation and design of the letter, the quantity and diversity of references with the presence of international wines, national and regional; the rigor and breadth of the information on each wine (DO, bodega, brands, grape varieties or vintages), the representation of the Canary Islands PDO references – Canary Wine as well as other Designations of Origin of the archipelago; clarity in the pyramidal classification of PDO Canary Islands wines – Canary Wine – correctly distinguishing the different levels: regional, isla, municipality and plot – as well as highlighting the importance and uniqueness of Canarian wines through information offered on the menu..
